Lloyd Prep students complete quarterly capstone projects that demonstrate mastery across disciplines and connect learning to real-world application.

🔁 The 80/20 Hybrid Model: Learning Without Limits

​

Our hybrid model combines 80% virtual learning with 20% in-person engagement in rhythm-based weekly cohorts:

​

• In-person classes take place twice weekly in small groups (15 students max), allowing deep academic mentorship and cultural affirmation.

• Online learning is supported by daily teacher check-ins, interactive modules, and customized pacing plans.

• Fridays are reserved for student-led conferences, family check-ins, and reflective practice.

 

This flexible, restorative model enables students to take ownership of their learning without sacrificing structure or accountability.

📚 Advanced Placement & College-Level Opportunities

​

High-achieving students are invited to enroll in AP and custom-designed college-prep courses. Recent offerings have included:

• AP Literature & Composition

• Entrepreneurship and Black Business History

• Global Politics & Diaspora Studies

• Theology and Liberation Ethics

 

Each course is grounded in high standards and real-life cultural connection. Students are encouraged to apply learning to contemporary issues and their own vocational goals.
